Walter Zychlinski, 89, of Dunellen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016 at Robert Wood John University Hospital Somerset. Born in Lambertsville, NJ he was the son to the late Thaddeus and Mary (Bobrzyka) Zychlinski.
After serving his country honorably in the United States Army, Walter worked for numerous water softening companies before starting his own company OK Soft Water Service in Dunellen.. Walter was an avid gardener and loved to work in his vegetable garden. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Walter is predeceased by his sister Wanda. Surviving is his loving wife of 63 years Helen (Koflanovich), son, Walter and wife Diane of Dunellen, daughter, Barbara Coubrough and husband Gary of Valley View, OH, 3 Grandchildren: Sean Coubrough, Briana Coubrough and Natalie Zychlinski, 3 sisters; Carol, Jean and Mary, and his brother Ted.
There will be a visitation on Sunday; October 30th, 2016 from 3-6PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday; October 31st at 9AM at St. Johns Church, Dunellen. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Walter’s name to the Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
