Florence E. Clause

Florence E. Clause, 93, a longtime resident of Dunellen, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter , with her loving family by her side. She was born in New York City to the Late Charles and Christine Maurer. Florence was a WWII veteran, having served honorably in the WAVES of the United States Navy. She worked as a clerk for many years for Big 3 Industries in So. Plainfield before her retirement in 1977.

Her husband, Harold, died in 1989.

Surviving are her 3 daughters, Pamela Clause McGroarty & husband Edward of Columbia, Patricia Gordon of Langhorne, Pa., Beverly Carson & her partner Christian O’Connor of Bound Brook, 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Cavazos, Robert Carson, James Gordon and 4 great grandchildren.

Visiting will be Thursday December 1 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial on Friday December 2 at St. John’s Catholic  Church,Dunellen, where she was a long time communicant. Interment Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
