David Capella

David Capella, 53, of Green Brook, died June 12, 2016 at JF Kennedy Haven Hospice in Edison with his loving family by his side. He was born in Newark and had lived in Elizabeth before moving to Green Brook 20 years ago. He was a police officer with the DEP for the State of New Jersey for 22 years. As a young boy he was a Boy Scout and later on became a coach for the Green Brook Hockey Club. He also was formerly a member of the Elizabeth Knights of Columbus.

David was predeceased by his father Cecilio.

Surviving is his wife Annete, 2 sons, Andrew and Justin both of Green Brook, a daughter Nia Capella of Union, his mother Aida of Matthews, NC., 2 brothers, Tony and Joey both of Charlotte, NC., and 2 sisters, Jasmin Capella-Ong of Concord, Cal., and Teresa DeJesus of Fort Mill, SC.

Visiting will be held on Wednesday, June 15 from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM and from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be an 8PM funeral service at the funeral home also on Wednesday.
