I am deeply sorry for your loss of Stephen. Losing someone so close leaves a very empty space in our life. Please know that you are never alone. God promises that he will be near to those who are crushed and broken at heart. One of the ways he is near is through his promise of a resurrection. Jesus demonstrated this when he resurrected the man Lazarus. This example is found in the Bible at John Chapter 11. He performed this resurrection to show us what he will do in the near future for our own loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. May God himself grant you great peace and comfort now during this difficult time.
