Jean Galvacky

Jean Galvacky, 96, of Bridgewater, passed away Jan. 20, 2016 at Bridgeway Care Center in Bridgewater with her loving family by her side. She was born in Dickson City, Pa. and had lived in Piscataway before her move to Bridgewater 6 years ago. Jean was a homemaker. Her husband Stephen died in 1974 and her sister Helen Surba  in 1971. Jean was a former member of St. John’s Church in Dunellen and was a  member of St. Francis Cabrini Church in Piscataway. She also served as secretary for the VFW in Dunellen.

Surviving are 2 sons, Donald and his wife Diane of Piscataway, Stephen and his wife Amy of Delray Beach, Florida, a sister Sophie Lefkanick of Dunellen and 2 grandchildren, Kenneth Donald Olsen Galvacky and Jonathan Michael Olsen Galvacky.

Visiting will be Fri.  Jan. 29th  2-4 7-9PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 9AM Mass of Christian Burial on Sat. at St. John’s Church. Interment Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
