Timothy Cooper, 70, of Green Brook, passed away on December 16,
2023 in Bound Brook. His battle with serious medical issues in recent
years showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a fight.
Tim was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to Elizabeth and William
Cooper on November 8, 1953. He grew up with his three brothers
William, Barry, and Daniel Cooper. He went to school in Piscataway
and received is Associate degree from Middlesex County College.
He married Tracy Cooper, and shortly after started his family and
began raising their daughter Christian Ann (Cooper) DePasquale and
later son Timothy Joseph (TJ) Cooper in Green Brook, NJ. After
starting his career at Tire Associates, he moved on to open his own
business with his late brother Dainel Cooper. Tim owned and
operated Cooper Bros Tire and Automotive with Danny Cooper for
almost 40 years, with “the shop / the station” becoming a staple and
dependable hub for family and friends and the Green Brook
community. Tim loved hunting with his brothers Barry and Danny.
Tim enjoyed any kind of fishing, especially deep-sea fishing and
being out on the water. He found joy in being ‘Poppy’ for his
grandson’s Mikey and Cooper and remembered as “Uncle Timmy”
and “Cousin Timmy” by all his cousins, nieces and nephews, great
nieces and nephews and including a great, great nephew and niece.
Tim is preceded in death by his father William Cooper, mother
Elizabeth (Driscoll) Cooper, brother Daniel Cooper and sister-in-law
Barbara Cooper.
Tim is survived by his wife Tracy Cooper, brother Bill Cooper, brother
and sister-in-law Barry and Maryann Cooper, sister-in-law Debra
Cooper, daughter Christian DePasquale, son TJ Cooper, son-in-law
Michael DePasquale, grandsons Michael and Cooper DePasquale all
his nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Tim’s
name to the American Heart Association.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21 from 2:00-4:00 and from 6:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen.
