Thomas (Tom) G. Lewis, 68, of Piscataway, New Jersey passed away at home on September 28, 2021.
Born in New Brunswick on July 5, 1953, he was a lifelong resident of Piscataway.
After being employed in construction for many years, Tom then was employed with the Middlesex County Road Department – retiring in 2014 after 25+ years of service.
Tom enjoyed fishing, gardening, backyard bird watching and all forms of nature, including the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Anne Lewis, Jr., sister Anne Marie (Nancy) Ruane and brother Matthew.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Pamela (Holmes) Lewis, his dog Jake and his cat Misty Blue. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles, Bruce, John and Paul and sisters Margaret, Mary, Bernadette, Cathrine and Regina. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Friends and family may visit on Monday, October 4, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will be held on October 5, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Internment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick.
