Thaddeus Wernock, 85 of Piscataway, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville.
Thaddeus was born in Bayonne, NJ to Harriett and Alexander Wernock on June 1, 1938.He was a graduate of Bayonne High School. He joined the Marines and was honorably discharged on July 4, 1956. He also served in the Army and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1962. He was married to the love of his life Barbara on May 21, 1961. He worked as a project engineer for the Piscataway and Old Bridge School Systems. He enjoyed building furniture in his garage with his many wood working machines and tools.
Thaddeus in preceded in death by his parents, Harriett and Alexander as well as by his brother Alfred.
Thaddeus is survived by his wife and love of his life Barbara and his daughter Alison and her husband Gary.
The family of Thaddeus wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the entire staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville NJ for the amazing care that they have given him.
.A joint visitation with his wife Barbara will be held on Monday, December 11 from 4:00-6:00pm. A funeral mass for both will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 10:00am at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway. Cremation will be held privately In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Thaddeus` name to either St. Judes Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or Make A Wish Foundation at Wish.org.
