Sylvia S. Zaballero

Sylvia S. Zaballero, died Friday December 27, 2024 at John F. Kennedy Hospital, Edison.  She was 91 years old.

Sylvia was born in Manila, Philippines. She came to the United States in 1984. She settled in Piscataway. She was a school teacher at Saint Dominick’s School, Jersey City.

Sylvia is predeceased by her husband, Benjamin F. Zaballero in 2000, parents Gustavo and Lourdes (Villamil) Sancho, her grandson, Brian Camacho. She is survived by her children, Josefina Hammond and her husband Dan of Ionia, Michigan; Jaime Zaballero and his wife Angelina of Piscataway; her sister, Sally Sancho of the Philippines; 4 – grandchildren, Kristine Rodriguez (Danny), Anna Sewell, Kevin Zaballero (Nancy), Katherine Lopez (Matthew), 13 great grandchildren.

A Mass will be offered on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church at 10:30AM.  Cremation will follow in Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Bernard Twp.
