Susan A. Sanzone (Regitz), 80, of Green Brook, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Somerville, New Jersey, with her loving family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Born on January 15, 1946, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Susan was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Barbara Regitz. She graduated from Piscataway High School in 1964, where she was a spirited cheerleader and formed many lifelong friendships. On January 25, 1978, she married the love of her life, Vincent J. Sanzone, in Piscataway. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. Susan spent most of her life in Piscataway before recently moving to Green Brook. Susan had a strong work ethic and a generous spirit. She worked as a bookkeeper for American Standard and later served as treasurer of the credit union at Degussa-Hüls. She chose to step away from her career to devote herself fully to raising her daughter, a role she treasured most. When she later returned to the workforce, she worked at QuickChek, where she remained until retirement, embracing the opportunity to enjoy more time with her husband and family.
A woman of many talents and interests, Susan was an avid quilter, gardener, home cook, and reader. She found joy in creating beautiful quilts, tending her garden, and preparing meals that brought her family together. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling leagues and remained active in her community, serving as a dedicated Girl Scout troop leader for over 12 years alongside her daughter.
Family was at the heart of everything Susan did. She especially loved hosting gatherings, and the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve were her favorite occasions to fill her home with family, food, and celebration. These moments, surrounded by those she loved most, brought her the greatest happiness. Susan’s legacy is one of devotion, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Regitz and Barbara Regitz (Jocsak), her brothers Eugene Regitz and Dr. Lester J. Regitz and his wife Berniece Regitz (Remly), her husband, Vincent J.
