Stephen J. Cascio

Stephen J. Cascio, 36 of Dunellen, NJ passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 9, 2023.

Stephen was born in Dunellen on May 3, 1987. He attended school there and graduated DHS in 2005. He went on to attend and graduate from Middlesex County College, Kean University and Robert Fiance Beauty School.

Stephen truly loved working with children and had many jobs working with them, including daycares and afterschool programs. He never tired of playing all sorts of games with the kids especially soccer – after homework was done.

After graduating from Robert Fiance, Stephen started working for Great Clips. He loved cutting and coloring hair and was extremely good at it. He had many people that were clients on the side that he would come to their homes to do their hair.

Stephen also loved to sing and was in the choir all through school. He then went on to sing in the choirs at Our Lady of Fatima Church. This is where Stephen also taught CCD to kindergarten and other grades.

Stephen loved his family. His laugh was contagious. He loved to dance and in his younger years, he could often be seen making up dance performances with his younger brother and cousins.

Stephen is predeceased by his maternal grandmother (Nana), and his paternal grandparents. He is survived by his mom, Janet Cascio (Treffinger), his father Patrick Cascio, Jr., his brother, Robert Cascio, his maternal grandfather (Pop Pop) and his aunts, uncles and cousins – all of whom loved him very much.

Stephen will be sorely missed by so many people whose lives he touched and who loved him deeply. Heaven has gained an angel.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 15 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Piscataway. All other services will be held privately.
