Rodovaldo Hernandez

Rodovaldo Hernandez, beloved father and grandfather passed away on 10/10/2021 in Wingate, NC, aged 64.

Rod was born in Jersey City, NJ to Rodobaldo and Lidia Hernandez on May 23, 1957. He graduated from Emerson High School and married Lynn Hoefling in 1976 at St Michael's Monastery in Union City. 

Family meant everything to Rod. He is survived by his father Rodobaldo, his sister Kety, his wife Lynn, his children Lynn, Richard, and David, and his grandchildren Innese, Sarah, Christopher, James, and Isabella. He is preceded in death by his mother, Lidia and his brother, Anthony.

An avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time in nature. Fishing, hunting and ketchup were his greatest pleasures. As a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima church in Piscataway, NJ, he also served as a volunteer for Adoration services. Therefore, in lieu of memorials, the family asks instead for donations to Our Lady of Fatima Adoration Chapel.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, October 14 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 15 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Cremation will be held privately.
