Robert Richard Yeager

Robert Yeager, 82, beloved husband of Jenny Yeager with whom he shared 59 years of marriage, was taken too soon from this life on Monday, October 27, 2025. In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his children: Jenny (Todd), Kristina (Warren), and Robert (Nicole), and six grandchildren: Connor, Caitlyn, Julia, Brandon, Dylan, and Matthew.

Born in Summit and raised in Springfield, Robert served his country honorably in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. After his service, Robert worked for over 50 years as a machinist/toolmaker until the age of 80. He loved to work, play golf, enjoy a pint of Guinness, and spend time with his family. He was a proud member of the Somerville American Legion Post 12 and the Union Elks. He kept his sense of humor until the end. 

Visitation for family and friends will take place on Sunday, November 2 from 2:00-4:00 PM at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue in Dunellen. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 3, 10:30 AM, at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 317 First Street, Dunellen. Internment will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.
