On Wednesday, February 16, Richard Rosetta, loving father of four children passed away at the age of 77.
Richard was born April 6, 1944 in Elizabeth, NJ to Margaret and Peter Rosetta. On Sept 16, 1965, he married Carolyn Marie Hewitt and together they raised four children.
He attended Union County Technical Institute in Montgomery, NJ and earned an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Shortly after, he joined the United States Navy on June 26, 1967 as an Engineman. Stationed in San Diego, CA working with the newly established Navy SEALS.
After serving in the US Navy, he went on to engineering and drafting. Richard revolutionized the printing industry, earning several patents, and featured in numerous printing magazines. In 1986, he transitioned his family to Seymour, Indiana to start up his own printing company, which created 350 jobs in the small town.
As a loving father and husband, he always partook in family activities and vacations. Richard enjoyed coaching his kids in baseball and softball. He loved going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters, flying kites, and building models. As an avid boater always enjoyed his time on the water. Richard’s hobbies included golf, crabbing and even building metal sculptures. He was a kind-hearted man with an infectious smile, and always willing to help those in need.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Peter, his mother Margaret, and wife Carolyn. He is survived by his brother Thomas (Ruth Ann), his children Robert, Paul (Joanne), Donna (Tom), and Brian (Aylin) and grandchildren Michael, Dominique, Payton, Connor, Caitlyn, Maureen, Malia, Aydin, Elysia, and Gabriella.
There will be a viewing at Sheenan Funeral Home 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ on Saturday the 26th of February at 9:00am - 11:00am. The funeral service will be at Resurrection Burial Park 899 E Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ on February
