Raymond E. Balaney died on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at John F. Kennedy Hospital, Edison. He was 97 years old.
Raymond was born in Bayonne and he has lived in Green Brook for many years. He was a bus driver for Somerset Bus Company, Mountainside and later was a bus driver for NJ Transit, Maplewood before his retirement. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy.
Raymond is predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Marie Balaney, his parents, John and Stella (Markowski) Balaney, his son, Frank J. Balaney, his daughter Joni Jean McDougall and his sister Dorothy Bellamy. He is survived by his children, Pamela Steves of Washington Twp.; John Balaney and his wife Francine of Manahawkin; son in law Robert McDougall; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation is on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2:00PM – 5:00PM at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen NJ 08812. Funeral service will be at 5:00PM.
Cremation will be private.
