Phyllis Blackadar Obituary
On March 6, 2022, Phyllis Ann Blackadar, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away at home at the age of 93.
Phyllis was born on February 22, 1929 to Edgar and Mabel Titus. She lived her whole life in her beloved town of Watchung.
Phyllis loved to play tennis, golf and get her hands in the dirt with gardening. She loved spending her winters in sunny Florida and summers at the family cottage in Muskoka, Canada.
Phyllis volunteered for the Watchung Chemical Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She was already ready to volunteer information to the Watchung Historical Committee.
She is predeceased by her loving husband, John, her parents, brother William Titus and great-grandson, Austin.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Elizabeth Titus, one daughter, Lynda, two sons, John (Patricia) and Jeffrey (Christine), seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Atlantic Health Hospice.
