Paul Nagy, age 70, of South Amboy passed away on January 15, 2025.
Paul was predeceased by his mother Audrey, father Paul, and brother Jimmy.
Paul is survived by his wife Bonnie, son Robert, sister Lisa, and brothers Michael and Bill, as well as his niece Jessica and nephews Frank and Jimmy.
Paul was born September 6, 1954. He was a graduate of Saint Joseph’s High School, and a certified pedorthist. Later in life, Paul worked as a music instructor sharing his knowledge and experience with students of all ages. He was a talented, accomplished musician as well as an avid guitar collector and had an extensive knowledge of the instrument. He performed as a guitarist and bassist with many acts over the years including his own ensemble, The Paul Nagy Project. His interest in arts expanded to include fine arts, literature, and a love for the golden age of cinema.
Those who knew Paul will remember him for his kindness and friendliness. He was always willing to lend a hand. Paul's love of music was infectious. He passed that enthusiasm on to his students and put musical instruments in the hands of hundreds of people. He will truly be missed.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 22 at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Dunellen, NJ. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, New Jersey. Visitation is from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 21 at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen, NJ
