Patrick (Pat) J. Sheenan passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 26th at the age of 77. Born on April 7, 1944 he was the son of the late J. Raymond and Vera Murray Sheenan. He was predeceased in death by his brother James (Jimmy). He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Barbara of 34 years, daughter Kristen and son Glen (Kathy) and his adored grandsons, Matthew Joseph, Nash Everett, and Spencer James along with his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.
After graduating from St. Peter’s High School, St. Gregory’s College and McAllister School of Embalming, Pat went on to serve his country as an Eagle of War for the U.S. Army Military Police Command in Panama. As a world traveler he went on to fulfill his dream of becoming an entrepreneur beginning with his first company ADSCO of NYC followed by Palisades Avenue Trading (P.A.T) Union City, NJ. He accomplished much in life by becoming a 1st Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus at the age of 18 and later holding a 4th Degree, the highest achievement possible. He led a very fulfilling life and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Pat embraced his role of stepfather to Glen and Kristen when he and Barbara rekindled their love and married in 1987 moving to Bridgewater. Pat never wavered as a husband, father, and grandfather; family was everything to him. Rest in peace our dear loved one, you will be missed.
Patrick is also survived by his siblings, Sister Vera R. Sheenan, MMS, Maureen (late Ron) Shea, J. Raymond (Grace) Sheenan and Thomas E. (Rosemary) Sheenan.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 1 from 3pm to 7pm at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, NJ. A Mass will be held on June 2 at 11:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 317 First Street, Dunellen, NJ. Cremation will be private.
