Monica Stass

Monica Ann Stass, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Monica was born on October 23, 1953, and raised in South River, New Jersey. She later lived in North Plainfield and Bound Brook, where she raised her children, before eventually settling in Warren County, where she helped raise her cherished grandchildren.

Monica attended Rutgers University, where she studied art history. She was an avid Jeopardy enthusiast who always seemed to have the right answer. And, she also enjoyed playing Bingo with friends, when not spending time with her family. Her greatest joy came from being with those she loved most.

Monica is predeceased by her birth mother, Amarylis "Tootsie" Rasch; her parents, Clarence and Mary Elizabeth Williams; and her siblings, Eugene Williams and Helen Williams Oswald.

She is survived by her brother, Eric Williams, and his wife Sara; her loving children, Vincent William Stass, Barbara Reedy (née Stass) and Amy Lynn Stass; and her treasured goddaughter, Dawn Turton (née Williams) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Monica's legacy lives on through her beloved grandchildren: Jada Mariah, Kayla Meredith, Sabastian William, Ivan Austin, Emily Helen, Michael Heldt, and Liam Matthew. She shared an especially close bond with Jada and Sabastian, whom she was proud to raise in her home.

Monica’s warm heart, sharp mind, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
