Mary Lou (Sontheimer) Venturella

Mary Lou Venturella, née Sontheimer, 87, formerly of Watchung, Wayne, and Cedar Grove passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 4, 2020.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 8 from Sheenan Funeral Home at 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30am Wednesday, December 9 at Our Lady of Fatima in Piscataway. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Mary Lou Venturella spent most of her adult life in Cedar Grove and Wayne, NJ before moving to Watchung. Mary Lou was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling around the globe with her husband Vince. Every summer you could find Mary Lou with her family at the Jersey Shore.

Beloved wife of 60 years to Vincent S Venturella. Devoted mother to Collette DeChard and her husband Philip, Keith Venturella and his wife Jill, and Jeffrey Venturella and his wife Kimberly. Cherished grandmother to Elise, Jessica, her husband Greg, Laura, Stephanie, David, Mikala and Corrie. Deeply loved by her sister Claire Jean Fuss, goddaughter Michelle Bateson, née Bonus, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent, her brother and sister.
