Mary Sanfilippo, 71, of Green Brook (formerly Bayville), died Monday, April 10, at home. She grew up in Union Beach, NJ, and graduated from Central Regional High School in Bayville. She was an insurance agent at John Hill Agency and Dano Agency until she retired. Mary and her husband, Rocco, were proud owners of Rocco's Bella Vita Pizza in Toms River.
Mary loved early morning crabbing with Rocco and enjoyed many years as a league bowler at Thunderbowl. She loved watching the birds and butterflies visit the feeders in her backyard and always looked forward to her annual William Wegman Weimaraner dog calendar. Mary was an enthusiastic fan of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and the NY Giants. Mary was the proudest mom of Pam and Joe, whose accomplishments brought her the most joy. She always put her children and family first and was their biggest cheerleader.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rocco, her parents, Elenier and Thomas Dolly, and her sister Florence Pattison.
Mary is survived by her daughter Pam Sanfilippo and wife, Cara; son Joe Sanfilippo and husband, Michael; mother-in-law, Carmela Sanfilippo; brother, Tom Dolly; sister Patty Frost; cat, Tigger; and her many adored nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family is grateful for the kindness and compassion of the officers from the Green Brook Police Department.
