Mary A. Bulkilvish, 91 of Stewartsville and formerly of Dunellen, NJ passed away at home on Wednesday, December 22 with her loving family by her side. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Chervenak.
Upon graduating from Dunellen High School in 1947, Mary worked at Cornell Dubilier in South Plainfield. She met the love of her life, Edward Bulkilvish and they were married on October 17, 1953. They lived in Dunellen and raised their family. She was a communicant of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church and was also a member of Columbiettes #2544 Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She later worked as the recording secretary for the Dunellen Planning Board for 20 years. She enjoyed bowling and gardening. Her greatest joy came from raising her family and keeping a happy, loving home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward in 1998 and by her brothers George and John. She is survived by her loving children; Edward, Stephen, Cathy and Paul. Mary is also survived by her sister Ann Sliwka. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Edward, Christine, Samantha, Alison, Zoe and Aria as well as by her great grandchildren Michael Allen, Logan Edward and Meredith Irene and by her longtime caregiver Monica Grayss.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, December 28 from 9:00-11:00AM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00AM with entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway.
