Maria Piedad Cherrez of Queens, New York passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Daughter of Victor Morales and Virginia Jurado, she was born in Pelileo, Ecuador.  She married her beloved Julio Cherrez and, together, raised eight wonderful children.

There is little that can be expressed to describe the qualities and virtues throughout a life dedicated to effort and devotion to the well-being of her entire family. Mother and wife of courage and tenacity, she did not give in easily to adversity. Until her last moments fighting for her life, she continued to be an example for us, her children. ‘Mother,’ what a beautiful word and as such you are worthy of being in our hearts as a friend and confidant, selfless and sublime. The most precious being in the universe MOTHER.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 4 - 8 pm at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, NJ.

María Piedad Cherrez que vivió en Queens, Nueva York falleció en el Hospital Universitario Robert Wood Johnson en Nuevo Brunswick.

Hija de Víctor Morales y Virginia Jurado, nació en Pelileo, Ecuador. Se casó con su amado Julio Cherrez y juntos criaron ocho maravillosos hijos.

Resulta poco lo que se puede expresar para describir las cualidades y virtudes a lo largo de una vida entregada con esfuerzo y dedicación por el bienestar de toda su familia . Madre y esposa de coraje y tenacidad para no ceder frente a la adversidad, luchadora constante hasta sus últimos momentos de vida, un ejemplo para nosotros sus hijos y esta generación.. Madre que palabra tan hermosa y como tal eres digna de estar en nuestros corazones como la amiga, confidente, abnegada, alegre y sublime. El ser más precioso del universo MADRE !
