Marcella A (Urenovich) Mascola

Marcella A. Mascola, 65, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville. Born in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Patricia (Maloy) Urenovich.

Marcella worked for many years as an executive assistant at Johnson & Johnson in Raritan. She enjoyed sports, especially bowling and baseball. She had a love for dogs and for flowers. Marcella married the love of her life, Edward Mascola on October 12, 1990. It was a love affair that would last for over 30 years. Marcella truly  valued and loved her friends who stood by her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband Edward, her step daughters; Kymberly Papera and husband Kevin, Dina O’Rourke and husband Brian. Marcella is also survived by her step grandchildren: Christian and Connor Papera, Colin and Kyle O’Rourke. Marcella is also survived by her sister Patricia Hughes and her husband Bill, as well as her godson Will Hughes.

Friends may visit the family on Monday, May 8 from 9:00-11:00Am at the Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen. A funeral mass will then follow at 11:30am at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen, with burial to take place after mass at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
