Manlio Ianiero

Manlio (Mario) Ianiero of Bridgewater, New Jersey, passed away at home on Friday morning, April 29, 2022, just a few days shy of his 95th birthday.

Mario was born in Torella del Sannio, Italy, to Giuseppina and Liberato Ianiero on May 10, 1927.  Mario was proud to become a United States citizen in 1949. He married Assunta (Sue) Fuscoletti on April 13, 1950, in Torella del Sannio. He worked as a master machinist and tool and die maker for Lermer Packaging for more than 40 years. While he loved his work, his priority was always his family and his home. 

Mario is preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother Guido. 

Mario is survived by his wife, Sue, his children, Josephine Fabrizio and her husband Lawrence, Anthony Ianiero and his wife Pamela, Anna Arnone and her husband Charles, Mario Ianiero and his wife Rosemarie, and Michelle Phillip and her husband Timothy; his sister Emma Introna and her husband Lawrence and his sister-in-law Grace Ianiero; his grandchildren Jennifer Natow, Kristin Adams, Amanda Bickley, Lawence Fabrizio, Joseph Ianiero, Lauren DeCuollo, Megan Aurigemma, Chelsea Godfrey, Nicolette Phillip, Mia Phillip, Rocco Ianiero, Alysiana Ianiero and his16 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and cherished forever for his unwavering love, joyful songs and many talents.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, May 4 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5 at 10:00am at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Raritan. Entombment will follow at St. Bernards Mausoleum in Bridgewater.
