Lorraine Elizabeth Coleman, 75, of Martinsville, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Lorraine was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to Edward and Mildred Janesko on June 22, 1947. She grew up in Green Brook, New Jersey and graduated from Dunellen High School. She was married to James Coleman on May 29, 1976 and spent the beginning of their lives together with their daughters in Middlesex, NJ. Lorraine worked as Human Resources Manager at Paulus, Sokolowski & Sartor in Warren, NJ before retiring from Enzon Pharmaceuticals. She loved the outdoors with her husband, Jim, camping and canoeing with their friends, and spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her gardens, photography and writing poetry.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband, James Coleman and by her parents, Edward and Mildred Janesko.
Lorraine is survived by her loving daughters Darryl Lynn Sabino and Donna Grygiel, Donna’s husband Peter Grygiel, and her adoring grandchildren, Elizabeth Grygiel, Stephanie Grygiel, Jake Sabino and Andrew James Grygiel.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at Shennan’s Funeral Home followed by a funeral mass at St. John’s Church, 317 First Street, Dunellen, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society of America in honor of our loved ones and yours.
