Loretta Kababik, 94 of Green Brook, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Care One Assisted Living in Bound Brook. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Yaskin.
Loretta worked for many years in the restaurant business where she was a jack of all trades at several restaurants in the area. Once as a young girl, she served Eleanor Roosevelt. She enjoyed cooking, and baking as well as arts and crafts. She was a hardworking woman whose greatest joy came from her family, and in later years she was a loving and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, Loretta was predeceased by her beloved husband of 69 years Edward in 2016. She is survived by her sons David and wife Dana, Edward and wife Lynn; she is also survived by her daughter Allison Becker and husband Greg. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren Christopher and David Kyle as well as by her 2 great grandchildren Declan and Sophia
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, June 3 from 9:30-10:30am at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in North Plainfield. Burial will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
