Linda C (Rieger) Jones

Linda C. Jones, 75, of Dunellen, passed away on July 19th 2023 in Somerville, NJ.

Linda was born in Plainfield, NJ to G. Edward and Margaret G. Rieger on August 12th 1947.  She went to school at South Plainfield High School.  She married Richie Jones, Jr.

She graduated from South Plainfield High.  She worked as a secretary for Piscataway Police Department 20+ years. She was involved in the VFW (Dunellen Post), American Legion Post 119 and the Dunellen Elks. 

Linda is preceded in death by Richie Jones (husband) and parents, G. Edward and Margaret Rieger. 

Linda is survived by brothers Peter Rieger from New Mexico and Michael and Gerry Rieger from Bridgewater.   She is also survived by her nieces and nephews - Lynne, Michael, Kalyn, Jill and Rick.

Memorials may be given to the VFW or the American Legion.

The family of Linda wishes to extend our sincere thanks to RWJ Somerset ICU staff, all the doctors and nurses that assisted Linda and especially Keith Jarvis, dearest friend and many other friends.

Linda enjoyed cross word puzzles, shopping with HSN/QVC and her afternoon club at Maggie's. 

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, July 26, from 4:00-7:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home. A gathering will be held on Thursday, July 27 at the funeral home at 10:00am with burial to then follow at Brig. Gen. Doyle Cemetery in Wrightstown.
