Kenneth Poulsen, 93, of Piscataway, NJ passed away on February 21st in his home surrounded by his children.
Ken was born in Perth Amboy, NJ to Ann and Augie Poulsen on April 25, 1929. He went to school in Metuchen. He was a member of the Boy Scouts becoming an Eagle Scout. After high school, Ken served in the Marine Corps prior to graduating from Rider University with a Bachelor Degree. He met and married the love of his life - Stella Zakolski on May 22, 1954 in Plainfield, NJ. They were married for 67 years. After working for a couple years, Ken decided to open his own practice ~ KAPoulsen & Associates and continued to work well into his 80’s. Ken took pride in being involved with his family. He enjoyed bowling, coaching baseball and loved watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren wrestle. He was an avid Mets and Giants fan.
Ken is survived by his children ~ Mary Ann Grivner and late husband Tommy, Kenneth Poulsen Jr and Wife Debbie, Teresa Massoud and husband Matt and Stanley Poulsen. Grandchildren ~ Michelle, Alex, Keith, Adam, Ryan, Kyle, Travis and Casey. Great-Grandhildren ~ Kaden, Jack, Dylan, Julian, Cameron, Everly, Ella, Mikey, Tommy and Cole.
The family would like to thank all of Ken’s friends and family for all of your love and support.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, February 24 from 6:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 25 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
