John (Sean) Mulvany, 87 of Dunellen, NJ passed away peacefully on May 16, 2022.
John is predeceased by his loving wife of 49 years Dolores (Stacy). He is survived by his son, Sean Mulvany and fiancée Christine Nieradka of Dunellen; Patrick Mulvany of Belmar and Kevin Mulvany and wife Melissa of Dunellen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Connor (11) and Reagan (6).
John was born on May 10, 1935 in Virginia County Cavan, Ireland but spent most of his youth in Shepards Bush, UK where he played soccer for the Queens Park Rangers.
John worked at Bell Labs/Lucent in Murray Hill until his retirement. He was also known for tending bar and volunteering at several local establishments in Dunellen – including being a Knights of Columbus member where he generously offered his time.
John was a long-standing pool team captain for the American Legion Post 119, he was also an exceptional and accomplished dart player in local leagues. John was also a respected mentor willing to share his skills.
John was a devout Catholic and parishioner at St. John the Evangelist Church in Dunellen. His family prays that all of your fondest memories of John are held close to your heart.

Family and friends may visit the Sheenan Funeral Home on Monday, May 23, 2022 from 3 to 7 p.m. for a visitation. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Dunellen.
Cremation will be private.
