With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Joan Patricia Gagne. Private funeral service and burial were held under the direction of Sheenan Funeral Home. Please keep Joan and her family
in your prayers.
A devoted mother, grandmother and dear friend, Joan passed peacefully at her home on July 21 st , just days before her 92 nd birthday. Born to the late Elmer and Mary, Joan was the only child to bless her family. After her schooling she met George Gagne and the rest was history. They settled in Piscataway where they started their family. Joan and George welcomed three daughters. The girls were her pride and joy. Her unwavering dedication to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She found immense joy in spending time with her daughters, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.
As a beloved wife, Joan shared a beautiful life with her husband. Sadly, George passed in 1995, yet despite this profound loss, Joan’s strength and resilience shone through as she continued to
nurture her family with love and care. She had a special place in her heart for her time spent at the seniors club, where she formed deep friendships. A true social butterfly, Joan thrived in the company of others, always bringing joy and light to every gathering. Her presence was a gift.
She leaves her daughters Joan Varga (Csaba), Fran Scharnikow and Michelle Eddins (William); her grandchildren Lauren Varga, Erin Flaherty (Joseph), Katharine Varga and Jeffrey Sharnikow;
and her great grandsons William Goggel and Joseph Flaherty.
