Jeanne (Minton) Dow, age 80, of Dunellen, passed away on April 23, 2026 in Allentown, PA. She was the beloved wife of Wallace M. Dow, Jr. with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Born on March 21, 1946, in Trenton, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Robert, and Mildred (Bennett) Minton.
She was a graduate of Piscataway High School. It was at Piscataway where she met the love of her life; Wally Dow, Jr.
After high school, Wally entered the United States Air Force and upon his discharge, he wed Jeanne. With news of their first child, Jeanne and Wally purchased a home on 4th Street in Dunellen.
Jeanne was a stay at home mom for her 2 sons, Wallace and Scott. She was active with their school functions, and organizations and was always there for them growing up. As her boys grew older, she entered the work force and became an administrative assistant for a commercial real estate company in Piscataway, and later, Florham Park.
Jeanne was known to be an excellent baker. Making the perfect carrot cake, or Wally's favorite chocolate chip cookies were her known staples. Her deviled eggs, and potato salad scored a home run at family get togethers.
Jeanne's greatest joy was her family. Her 57 year courtship to Wally, her love and devotion to her sons; Wallace, and his wife Kelly and Scott, and his wife Michelle are now carried and passed on to her 2 grandchildren; Michael and Dylan. She will be dearly missed by all she knew and loved.
Jeanne was preceded in death, in addition to her parents by her brothers, Robert and Richard Minton.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10:00 AM, and to her service of Christian burial at 11:00 AM at Sheenan Funeral Home. Entombment will conclude at Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway where she will be laid to rest.
