Jeanette (Sykes) Sproul

Jeanette E. Sproul, a 50 year resident of Middlesex, New Jersey sadly passed away, at home surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, April 9, 2021. Jeanette was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to her parents Jeanne and Frank Sykes of Green Brook. She was married to Neil Mackie of Dunellen, with whom she had two children, Neil and Jennifer. Jeanette was a graduate of Dunellen High School. She was proud to organize their class reunions for the past 60 years. She had a career in the Savings & Loan Industry and continued on as an accountant for King, King, Goldsack Law Firm in Plainfield New Jersey. She had a love for mah-jongg, gardening, cooking, flowers, family, friends and birds! 

Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband Edward Sproul, sister Gayle Walker & niece Michele Lewis. She is survived by her son Neil J. Mackie and his wife, Michelle, grandchildren Nikole, Breanne, Neil and Olivia; Her daughter Jennifer Laguerra and husband Ej; and Her beloved nephew Todd Walker. 

In lieu of flowers Jeanette requested donations to be made to the local organization FISH Inc. of Dunellen. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, April 14 from 9:00-11:00Am at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen.  Cremation will be held privately.
