Jane Kolodziejski-Valent, 64 of Piscataway unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home Sunday October 6, 2024.
Jane was born in Plainfield, NJ. She grew up in Piscataway. Lived in North Plainfield for many years raising her two girls with her husband, prior to moving back to her hometown a few years ago. She was a 1977 graduate of Piscataway High School. She was a secretary for the Piscataway Board of Education for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She spoke to them daily and enjoyed frequent park visits with them.She loved to cook and garden. She especially loved flowers and the color purple. Her favorite pastime was watching soap operas, general hospital was her favorite. Jane was one of a kind, her smile lit up the room.
Jane is predeceased by her parents, Adam and Stefania (Wojituch) Kolodziejski, her 2 brothers, Henry Kolodziejski and Mitchell Kolodziejski. She is survived by her husband, Francis Valent of Middlesex; daughters, Kimberly Lynch and her husband Michael of Piscataway; Michelle Gonzalez and her husband Victor of Manville; brother Stan Kolodziejski of Long beach Island; sisters, Theresa Maliczyszyn of Flemington; Mary Lytwyn of South Plainfield; 4 grandchildren, Bella, Anthony, Emma and Sadie. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Saturday October 12, 2024 from 2-5pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen NJ. Cremation will be private.
