James F Campbell (SOUPY) 86 of Dunellen passed away on 4/27/21 in Bound Brook, NJ with his loving family by his side.
Soupy was born in Jim Thorpe, PA to James & Alvina Campbell on 5/10/34. He graduated from Mauch Chunk Catholic In Jim Thorpe PA. He married Jean Boyle Campbell on 11/22/51 in Jim Thorpe, PA. He worked as a railroad conductor for Central Jersey Railroad. He also owned Campbell Dogs working as a hot dog vendor in Dunellen, NJ for over 40 years. He was very well known in this job. People came not only for his hot dogs but his friendship and comradery .He was also involved in WOW group, Polish Home, Knights of Columbus, CYO coach and Dunellen Pool League.
Soupy is preceded in death by his wife Jean. They were married for 57 years. He was also preceded in death by his special friend Della.He is survived in death by his 7 children. James (Beverly), Marie DeNapoli (Pat), Dennis,Tommy (Eltha) Jean Murray(Bob) Bear(Awilda)and John. A sister Agnes Busocker, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Soupy touched many people's lives and is survived by many many friends.
There will be a visitation on Saturday, May 1st from 3-6PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen. A funeral service will follow at 6pm. Cremation will be private.
