He married Carol in June of 1958 and began his family who he loved and adored. He always said that he was so happy to start his family young as he got to grow up with them. Carol passed away in 2021 after 62 years of marriage. Their love and friendship was a great example to everyone around them.

He is survived by his children Joan and Barry, James and Michele, Susan and Scott, and his son-in-law Vincenzo, his grandchildren Amanda and Kevin, Meagan, Ashlee and Michael, Allyson, Daniel, James and Jennifer and his great-grandchildren Benjamin and Elara.
His greatest joy in life was enjoying and being with his family and sharing stories of his life and imparting his vast stores of knowledge.
Together he and Carol traveled to many interesting and foreign places with a group of amazing friends lovingly named the “Cruise Group”. Their bonds are still strong today. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas where he constructed a beautiful and detailed village that amazed all who saw it. He even eventually joined Carol with her love of decorating with Boyd’s Bears and continued after her death to honor her memory.
Irv and Carol were longtime members of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway where they were members of the Marriage Encounter program and Pre-Cana education program, Eucharistic ministry and community outreach.
