Hilda Chung de Ique, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 4th. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 6th from 4 – 7 pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 10 am on Saturday, December 7th at the funeral home followed by committal prayers at the Bound Brook Cemetery.
Hilda was born in Loreto, Peru to the late Enrique and Zoila (nee Romero) Chung Tan. She lived most of her years in Peru and carried the rich traditions and values of her home with her throughout her life.
A woman of deep faith, Hilda was devoted to her Lord and Savior, and her life was a testament to the strength and beauty of that faith. Her unwavering love and care for her family were evident in everything she did.
In 2010, Hilda made the life-changing decision to move permanently to Dunellen to be closer to her daughters. This decision was a blessing that enriched the lives of her entire family. Her love and spirit will never leave us.
Predeceased by her husband Juan Yque and her son Augusto; she leaves joyful memories to her children Linda, Octavio, Hilda, Fernando and Juan; her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren and many more dear relatives and friends.
