Frank H. Cicerale, 43, was called home by the Lord Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at his home,
surrounded by family. Frank was born on November 9, 1981 to Frank A. and Marian E.
(Wargacki) Cicerale of Piscataway, NJ. He was an accountant with the family business, Frank
Cicerale & Associates.
Frank was a graduate of Piscataway High School and held Bachelor of the Arts degrees in
English and History, as well as continued education in Finance and Accounting. His education
and studies lead him to his career as a former writer and journalist for numerous magazines,
media, and online sources including National Dragster, Chevy High Performance, Muscle
Mustangs & Fast Fords, and GM High Tech.
Frank began drag racing at the age of 12 years old with the Junior Drag Racing League and
was a member of the NHRA. He spent many years racing alongside his brother, with the
support and dedication of his family, at various tracks around the state and country, including
Raceway Park and Island Dragway. His pride and joy throughout his race career was his 1968
Nova, purchased at the age of 16. With the support of his father, he was also able to purchase a
dragster to race in the Super Comp category. Frank spent many years racing both of them.
Amongst many accomplishments, he was a 2002 Division 1 Champion and dual category
division winner at Cecil County Dragway. These accomplishments provided him the opportunity
to transport his car cross country and participate in the National Event in California, having
reached the semifinals before heading back home.
Frank married his loving wife Robin and they made their home in Bound Brook. They were
blessed with two beautiful children, who were his entire world. He would do absolutely anything
for them and spent his time devoted to making memories that could be kept forever.
Frank was very passionate about hockey and spent the last 6 years as an assistant hockey
coach for a number of youth hockey associations, beginning with the Protec Ducks and most
recently the Mercer Chiefs of Proskate. He had the opportunity to build relationships, trust, and
the love of hockey within many players and their families over the years, including his son. His
most famous pieces of advice for the team were, “Have fun” and, when they needed a boost,
“Have ice cream, because you can’t be sad when you’re having ice cream!”
Frank was an avid historian with a strong focus on military and American Constitutional history.
You could often find him deep in any one of these readings or recalling his knowledge of a
particular military plane, ship, or historical event. His never ending memory of facts and
information will forever be missed.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife of 17 years, Robin, his adoring son Frank V.; his loving
parents Frank and Marian; his caring brother Vincenzo E. Cicerale and his fiance’ Elizabeth of
Hamilton; dear nieces and nephews, Ivy Cicerale, Samuel Cicerale, Ryan Brunson, and
Shannon Brunson; several aunts and uncles; and countless other family and friends who were
touched by his strength and positivity. Frank was predeceased by his daughter Grace E.; his
grandparents Frank P. Cicerale (his namesake), Connie and Bill Schlueter, and Theresa and
Michael Wargacki.
Frank was a strong, kind, inspirational, and dedicated soul, whose sense of humor will surely be
missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life for Frank will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at
Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ. A memorial mass will be held at St.
Francis Cabrini Church, Piscataway, NJ on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10:30am, with
interment to follow immediately after at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ.
