Francis X. Hacia (“Frankie”), 71, of Piscataway, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May18, 2025, surrounded by his loving sisters.
Funeral service will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church located at 501 New Market Rd, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on May 27, 2025, at 10:30 am. Visitation will be held at Sheenan Funeral Home located at 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ 08812 on May 26, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Frankie was born in Jersey City to Francis and Eleanor Hacia on September 8, 1953. He graduated from Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts from Kean University and a master’s degree from Rutgers University. Prior to retirement, Frankie dedicated his life to service and most recently served as a service coordinator for a local Christian non-profit. Frankie was a devoted son and caretaker to his parents and would always bring light and laughter to even the darkest moments of life. Faith was a cornerstone of Frankie’s life with a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Rosary. His siblings and nephews fondly remember his unique greeting cards which never failed to bring a smile to your face. These moments will surely be the most missed. Frankie loved sharing his interests and time with others. He truly lived a life of service and self-giving.
Frankie is survived by his sister Mary Hacia; his sister Grace Pugh; his brother Joseph Hacia; and his nephews Luke, William Pugh, Joseph Pugh, and John Pugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church.
