Francis L. Fenton

June 17, 1942 ~ April 8, 2022 (age 79)


Francis (Frank) L. Fenton passed away in his home on April 8th at the age of 79 in Dunellen, NJ with his loving family.
Frank was born on June 17th,1942 in Morristown, NJ to the late Vincent and Esther Fenton. Frank was a long-time resident of Summit, NJ where he lived for over 65 years.  He was a dedicated Public Works employee with the City of Summit for over 37 years, until he retired in 1997. 

Frank is survived by his wife Colleen Fenton (nee Conners) who he was married to for 50 years;  his five children Joseph A. Fenton from Bridgewater NJ,  Donna Peraza (nee Fenton) and her husband Ruben Peraza from Wake Forest, NC, Kim Trombino (nee Fenton) and her husband Robert Trombino from Bethlehem, PA, Teresa Fenton from Dunellen, NJ, and Kelly Soto (nee Fenton) and her husband Hector Soto of Dunellen; his 3 grandchildren, Joseph V. Fenton, Jasmine Soto, Gianna Soto, his sister Esther Ketchum and many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents, and siblings Veronica Nalbone (nee Fenton), David Fenton and Vincent Fenton. 

Frank's favorite hobbies were watching his favorite sports teams like the The Red Sox, Celtics, NY Giants and Boston Bruins. He loved gardening, going to the casino, listening to his favorite country music, and fixing things around the house. But his greatest joy was spending time with his family and he especially shined bright being with and talking about his two granddaughters.

The family will be having a private memorial on Monday at their home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.
