We are devastated to announce the passing of Frances Buchek, who died peacefully in her sleep during the night of October 8 at 75 years of age. Countless beautiful words come to mind when trying to put down to paper just how much she meant and what an impact she made on those around her. Above all else she was a deeply loved wife, mother, and grandmother. Fran married her first love, Andrew, at the age of 19. Together, they shared 55 happy years of marriage that bore the fruit of 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
She always put her family first, going beyond the call of duty when it came to caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, and parents. There was no limit to her devotion, no bounds to what she wouldn’t do, and we who were so lucky to have her in our lives, never spent a day without feeling her love. Selfless, empathetic, and caring, Fran would do anything for anyone in need. She was a friend to those who needed one, no matter the time, with bright smiles in the good and an unwavering shoulder to cry on in the bad. Her faith was stalwart and her love of God guided her thoughts and actions.
The pain of losing Fran is impossible to articulate but her light, devotion, and memory will live on through the love and kindness that she taught. With warmth and gratitude, we will forever carry her remembrance with us.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, October 11 from 2:00-4:00 and from 7:00-9:00 at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 12 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
