Eva M Fisher, passed away peacefully at the age of 96, surrounded by the prayers of her loving family. Private arrangements have been entrusted to Sheenan Funeral Home. Those who wish, kindly consider a donation in her memory to the good work of St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Known for her unwavering love, deep faith, and zest for life, she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Born May 28, 1927 to the late Daniel and Margaret Olson (nee Corrigan) Eva was one of five children to bless the family. While working at Muhlenberg Hospital, she met James Fisher, a friendly EMT caring for patients. Eva had a fierce work ethic and devoted 25 years as the head of patient information at Muhlenberg Hospital in Plainfield. Her compassion and dedication touched countless lives, earning her the admiration of colleagues and patients alike.
Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, and she was fortunate to travel extensively, collecting memories and experiences that enriched her life and those around her. In later years, she found joy and purpose in her involvement with the Tri County Seniors where she served passionately as their Trip Director, organizing excursions and fostering camaraderie among members.
Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. She was a proud Mom, doting “Nanny” and cherished Great “Nanny”. She found happiness in simple moments and loved hearing of all the kid’s achievements.
Predeceased by her husband James; her beloved daughter Margaret “Peggy” Medler; and her siblings Daniel Olson and his wife Ann, Marie Polidori and her husband John and Joan Diller and her husband Charles; she is survived by her loving children Kathleen Trueman and her husband David, Karen Ostroski and her husband John, Thomas Fisher and his wife Renee, and Donna Cappuccino and her husband William; seventeen grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; her dear sister Emily Jiovino and her husband Vincent and many loving nieces, nephews, friends and caretakers.
