Eileen J. Keenan, 92, of Piscataway, NJ passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023.

            Visiting hour will be Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 3:30 to 7:30 pm at Sheenan’s Funeral Home, www.sheenanfh.com, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen, NJ 08812. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 am at Our Lady Fatima Church, Piscataway NJ, followed by internment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Piscataway.        

            Born and raised, quite pridefully, in Jersey City, NJ, started her family with her husband Andrew in Clifton NJ, before moving to Piscataway NJ to continue raising their five children.

            A proud graduate of St. Aloysius High School in Jersey City, she attended alumni masses until her health would not allow her.

            She was an active member of Our Lady of Fatima Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society, praying the rosary on a daily basis. While raising her children she also worked as Bookkeeper for Jema-American and Technical Fabricators, both in Piscataway. She volunteered at the church, taught CCD for many years, and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for over ten years. She also counted money on Sundays for the church and assisted with collection and distribution of food for FISH.

            Eileen was predeceased by her husband Andrew, married over 60 years, her parents Helen and William Gordon, her brothers William, Jack, and Robert, and her sister in laws, Joanne Gordon and Kay Cooney. She is survived by her five children, Thomas (Donna), William (Tina), Debra (Greg), Robert (Jodi), and Carol (Kent), as well as 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
