Donna (Nagy) Arway

On January 30, 2023, Donna Marie Arway, beloved Companion, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend, passed away at the age of 52.  Donna was born on November 8th, 1970 to Nancy “Baya” (deceased) and John Nagy, spending her youth in Perth Amboy.  Donna was the middle child of 3 sisters, Kimberly (deceased), Nancy and Dawn.

After high school Donna found employment in the automobile service and repair industry.  Donna’s quick-wittedness, personality, organizational skills and natural ability to sell, enabled her to become a reputable and valued employee.  She enjoyed numerous friendships with co-workers who openly boasted about her knowledge of the industry as well as her ability to satisfy even the most miserable customer.  Her attitude and personality lightened everyone’s day and made even the most challenging days enjoyable.   

At home with family and friends, Donna was best known for her quick-witted humor and was commonly referred to as “Chi-Chi”.  She lived life with fierce determination and a generous spirit. Donna loved open-heartedly, fought furiously for her family and beliefs. She would never back down to a challenge nor give up on anyone or anything.     

Donna was most passionate about family, lived a vivacious, fun loving life and would do anything for those she cared about, specifically, her immediate family (daughters Jessica & Brooke and son George Arway) as well as her extended family including, but not limited to, the Norelli, Lebron, Mecca, Lockwood and Dente clans; to which she bore many titles, however, none were as cherished by Donna as Grandmother. Donna recently celebrated the birth of her first grandchild, Jaxx Arway. She was known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren. Finally, Donna is survived by her longtime Companion and Significant Other; Anthony Dente.

The showing/wake will be held on Monday, February the 6th, 2023 between the hours of 4pm and 8pm at Sheenan Funeral Home located at 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ 08812.  The funeral mass will be held at Saint Frances Cabrini Church located at 208 Bound Brook Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854 at 10 am, Tuesday - February 7th 2023. Cremation will be private.
