David Grannis

David Grannis, 77, was born in Staten Island, New York and passed away on March 15th, 2023, from Dunellen, New Jersey.

David was born in West Brighton, NY to Faith and Arthur Grannis on August 2nd, 1945.  He went to school at PS45 in Staten Island. He graduated High School from Curtis High School in 1964. He attended Athens College in Alabama for 2 years. He graduated from Richmond College in Staten Island. He married Linda McCafferty on August 5th, 1972, in Staten Island. In 1987, they moved to Fallsington, PA. In 1997, David relocated to Dunellen, NJ. Later in life, he married Glenda Navarro. He was a teacher at Marist High School in Bayonne, NJ. He also worked as a bus driver for Domenico for a number of years. He also worked as a Sales Representative for National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (NSCSA). David worked as well for Tilston-Roberts. He opened his own freight forwarding business in 1991, Austin Baldwin & Co.

David enjoyed spending his time reading, watching baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was also a Chicago Bears fan. He really enjoyed spending time fishing and crabbing. David loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. David was also fluent in Spanish. He was also an animal lover.

David is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Faith Grannis, as well as his brother Artie Grannis.

David is survived by his wife, Glenda Navarro, her son, Ramiro and her daughter, Carmen; his son, Harry Grannis and his wife Kara, and his son, Daniel Grannis, and his girlfriend, Ashley; his brothers, Paul and John and Jim; his grandchildren, Logan, Riley, Lochlan and Ciaran.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, March 21 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen. All other services will be held privately.
