On October 29th, 2022 Constance (Connie) McDougall peacefully passed away surrounded by family. Connie was born July 8th, 1933 in Jersey City, NJ to Ruth and John Mack. She is predeceased by her parents and her three younger siblings John, Catherine, and Tim.
She enjoyed much of her life alongside her husband, James D. McDougall, whom she married on April 16th, 1950. They settled in Dunellen, NJ in 1961 with their two children, James J. and Robert McDougall. Connie is predeceased by both her husband, James D. and her son, James J.
Connie worked as a Quality Control Specialist in the electronics field for notable companies such as RCA, Burroughs, and Unisys. She also found joy in being a travel agent at Key Travel, where she was able to see much of the world by traveling to many cities across Europe, Asia, and the United States.
In her free time, Connie relaxed by creating knitted and crocheted keepsakes for friends and family. She was also gifted in tending to a large garden and an array of houseplants in both Dunellen, NJ and Sun City in Bluffton, SC, where Connie relocated in 2004.
She became an avid member of the Sun City community for the last 18 years of her life. Connie contributed to the Ladies Luncheon, New Jersey Club, Computer Club, and various others during her time there.
Connie is survived by her son, Robert, and his children Kimberly and Rachel, as well as her Daughter-in-Law, Cyndi, and her children Sara and Kelly. She recently became a Great Grandmother to Waylon, son of Kelly and Dave. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.
The family requests donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
