Clifford (Rocky) Hardgrove, 84, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at home. Born in New Brunswick NJ, he was the son of the late Ellis and Elsie Hardgrove.
Clifford worked for many years at Moore’s Trucking Co. in Piscataway. He along with his wife were members of Unforgettable Autos of NJ. He and she were also instrumental in bringing the battleship USS New Jersey back to NJ by raising money at the antique car show at Johnson Park for its return.
Besides his parents, Clifford was predeceased by his beloved wife Clara, his daughter Claire and his son Christopher, siblings Barbara, Ellis, Harold, Melvin, and Virginia. He is survived by his son Cliff Stephen. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Candice, Crystal, Bryce, Melissa and Michele, his great grandchildren Michelle and Korbin as well as his siblings John, Roy, and Robert along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Family and friends may visit on August 21 from 2:00-4:00PM and from 7:00-9:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday August 22 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Woodbridge.
