Clara Ann (Smith) DeMaria

Clara Ann DeMaria, 78, of Dunellen, NJ passed away peacefully at home. Clara was born in Somerville NJ to Harry and Anna Smith. She graduated from Dunellen High School Class of 1963. She married Anthony C DeMaria on June 26th 1965 in Dunellen, NJ. She worked at Dunellen High School and Union Carbide for many years, retiring in 2002. She was also president of Dunellen PTO. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially  her grandchildren. Clara is predeceased by her parents, Harry and Anna Smith and her beloved son Anthony C DeMaria.

Clara is survived by her husband of 58 years, Anthony C DeMaria, her son Brian DeMaria and wife Keri of Whitehouse Station NJ, her brother Jim Smith  and wife Sheila Smith of Florida, 6 grandchildren Michael and wife Stephanie, Madison, Gregory, Sophia, Lilyanne, Aurora and one great grandchild Grayson. Clara will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, November 1 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2 at 10:00am at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen. Cremation will be held privately.
