It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher S. Mondoro, 53 of Lebanon, who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30th at his home.
Son of Joseph and Nina Mondoro, Christopher was born in Plainfield, New Jersey. He graduated from Kean College with a BS in Accounting, and worked for Verizon in Basking Ridge for 29 years.
Chris enjoyed a lifetime of spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, working on his home, woodworking, astronomy, and a true curiosity for how things worked. He had a special love for photo restoration and made many people in his life happy keeping wonderful memories alive. Chris had a contagious smile and a huge, giving heart with a warm and loving personality. Chris’ love, generosity and kindness has touched many lives in his family and his career and he will forever be missed.
He is predeceased by his loving mother, Nina Mondoro in 2013, brother James Mondoro in 2019 and brother Wayne Hall in 2002. Surviving is his loving wife Randie Mondoro; daughters Heather and Mallory; father Joseph Mondoro, Sr. of Dunellen; sister Lisa Rentenberg and her husband Rob of Dunellen; brother Joseph Mondoro, Jr. of Pennsylvania, and many nieces, nephews, and great nephews and great nieces.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue in Dunellen. A funeral mass will then be celebrated immediately following at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen. We ask that with Covid 19 restrictions still in place, everyone observe social distancing guidelines and have a facial covering.
