On June 15, 2021 beloved mother, aunt, and friend Bonnie Louise Heldt Casey passed away at the age of 69 in Somerville, NJ.
Bonnie was born to Fred and Olga Heldt on December 10, 1951 in Plainfield, NJ as the youngest of three daughters. She went to Dunellen High School and later graduated from East Stroudsburg University. Bonnie was a dedicated elementary school teacher who was well respected by her colleagues and the parents in the Middlesex Public School District. She loved teaching and cared deeply for her students. After dedicating 43 years to her passion for teaching she retired in June 2020. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two children Brett and Heather and was very proud of both of them. She was known for her love of animals and adored her granddogs Dozer and Cooper. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was well known for her generous, caring personality, her beautiful smile but most of all, Bonnie was known for her infectious laugh. She was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Fatima church and had a deep faith in God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her father Fred Heldt, her mother Olga Petty Heldt and her sisters PhyllisAnn Radomski and Nancy Heldt.
Bonnie is survived by her son Brett Casey of Dunellen, her daughter Heather Casey of Las Vegas, nephews Aaron Radomski, Todd Radomski and Sean Radomski, nieces Melanie Mancuso, Kimberly Schwab and Christine Schaurer and their families.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, June 21 from 2:00-4:00 and from 7:00-9:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 22 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.
